The sign is painted black and then painted white on top. The sign is then sanded to bring the black and natural wood through. Each sign is handmade and thus due to the nature of distressing as well as the defects found in natural wood, each sign will be different. The white paint we use is not pure white, thus also giving it that rustic charm.
